Nicole E. Pierce

Senior Counsel
Ms. Pierce joined Smith, Murdaugh, Little & Bonham, L.L.P. in July 2024 after working with emergency services districts since 2010. Her practice includes the representation of emergency services districts, and other political subdivisions in the State of Texas, both as general counsel and special counsel. Ms. Pierce advises clients on various public law matters including government regulatory compliance, property taxation, financing, elections, real estate and intergovernmental contracts.

Education

Ms. Pierce received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in May 2010 from South Texas College of Law. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in communication studies from Baylor University in December 2006.

Professional Affiliations

Ms. Pierce was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 2010. In addition to the Texas State Bar, she has also been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the U.S. Tax Court.

Community Service and Interests

Ms. Pierce volunteers at her daughter’s school and helping in the library. She enjoys cooking, reading, cheering on the Houston Astros and spending time with her family. Ms. Pierce and her husband, Garret, have one daughter and a house full of pets.
