Practice areas:
Ms. Anderson joined Smith, Murdaugh, Little & Bonham, L.L.P. in June, 1987. She became a partner in the firm in January 1994. Ms. Anderson’s practice is primarily representation of municipal utility districts and similar political subdivisions, both as general counsel and as bond counsel for tax-exempt financings. Ms. Anderson has also represented cities as bond counsel for the issuance of bonds and Certificates of Obligation. Ms. Anderson represents emergency fire districts and fire departments as general counsel and has provided them with assistance in obtaining financing. She has practiced before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Texas Water Development Board.

Ms. Anderson was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1987. In addition to the Texas State Bar, she is a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the Association of Water Board Directors, and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
Education:
Ms. Anderson received her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in May, 1987, and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and the Order of the Barons. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas San Antonio in 1982, and a Masters Degree in Urban Studies from Trinity University in 1984.
Community service and interests:
Ms. Anderson is a member of St. Philip Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas. In 1998, she served on a committee that assisted the Texas Legislature in codifying the bond issuance laws of the state of Texas into what is now the Public Security Procedures Act.
