Practice areas:
Ms. Kilpatrick joined Smith, Murdaugh, Little & Bonham, L.L.P. in September, 1991.  Her practice includes the creation and representation of municipal utility districts and similar political subdivisions in the State of Texas as general counsel and as bond counsel, and she also represents several municipal utility districts for the collection of delinquent taxes.
 

Professional affiliations:
Ms. Kilpatrick was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1991.  In addition to the State Bar of Texas, she is a member of the American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Association of Water Board Directors.  She has been admitted to practice in the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
 

Education:
Ms. Kilpatrick received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity University, cum laude, in May, 1986, and her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas School of Law in May, 1991.
 

Community service and interests:
Ms. Kilpatrick has been a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo since 1996 and currently serves as a volunteer on the Show’s Commercial Exhibitors Committee.  She serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado County Fair Association and is also a director of the Columbus Historical Preservation Trust, Inc. in Columbus, Texas, where she lives with her husband Scott and their family.
